COLOMBIA COFFEE BEANS _227g_Brown Bag Coffee Roasters

We have teamed up with the folks at Brown Bag Coffee Roaster in Aylmer to create some chocolate bars with their coffee as an inclusion.  Since we are working with their coffee we thought why not have some available in our shop.  We carry two flavours the dark roast and this one.

This is how our friends at the roastery describe this coffee:  

Colombia accounts for one of the largest coffee producing countries in the world and rightly so. These coffees continue to impress us and our customers! This particular coffee is bold and has an amazingly sweet flavour overall. Top that with some fruity notes and you have yourself a nougat bar straight off the shelf. This is such a versatile coffee that we have it in all three of our blends.

These Colombian coffee beans are from the cooperative of Mujeres Cafeteras de Santander, which is comprised of a group of 200 women from 8 municipalities in Santander: Ocamonte, Valle de San Jose, Coromoro, Encino, Charalá, Curití, and Confines y Socorro. The women's coffee cooperative provides improved income across participating families and focuses on female economic empowerment through coffee production to increase the livelihoods and opportunities of everyone in the family and community at large.

We are truly happy to offer this female-produced coffee and help increase public awareness around gender inequality in the coffee sector. We are very proud of this coffee that we know you will enjoy with all brewing methods from drip to espresso to cold brew.

As a medium roast, our Colombia single origin sits at 18 on the Roast Vision Scale and 73 on the Agtron Gourmet Colour Scale laid out by the Specialty Coffee Association (SCA).
